e-tox clinics

Graduation Project

The assignment for project e-tox was an exciting challenge, and I saw it as an opportunity to showcase my creativity and innovation. The goal was to create a captivating exhibition that would provide visitors with a vivid portrayal of the vibrant '00s. However, being my final school project, I wanted to elevate it to a whole new level. I decided to go beyond the traditional boundaries of a mere exhibition and delve into the realm of immersive experiences.

After careful consideration and research, I came up with a groundbreaking concept—a fully immersive and interactive rehab clinic for internet addicts. The '00s witnessed an explosion of internet usage, leading to the emergence of internet addiction as a significant issue. My aim was to bring this problem to the forefront and create awareness around it while engaging the audience in an unforgettable way.

Throughout the project, I enthusiastically put to use the various skills I had honed during my time as an intern. One of my main areas of expertise was in designing captivating packaging that not only drew attention but also conveyed the essence of the content within. I wanted every aspect of the experience, right from the entrance to the exhibits, to be an enticing visual journey.

In addition to my expertise in packaging design, I also utilized my knowledge in the art of curating and setting up exhibitions. I wanted to create a flow that would transport visitors through different phases of the '00s, reflecting the ever-evolving world of the internet and its impact on society. Each section of the experience represented a distinct aspect of internet culture, ranging from the rise of social media to the surge in online gaming and the birth of viral content.

Furthermore, working with 3D spaces was another fascinating challenge that I embraced during the project. I leveraged the potential of modern technology to craft an environment that would leave a lasting impression on visitors. Virtual reality stations and augmented reality installations were strategically placed to provide an immersive journey into the lives of internet addicts and their struggle to break free from the digital web.

As the project unfolded, I was amazed by how everything came together seamlessly. The experience I developed truly encapsulated the essence of the '00s, revealing both the wonders and perils of the digital era. Visitors left the afkickkliniek with a profound understanding of internet addiction and a sense of empowerment to make conscious choices about their digital lives.

In conclusion, project e-tox turned out to be an incredible culmination of my academic journey, where I not only applied the knowledge I acquired but also pushed the boundaries of creativity and innovation. The experience I created not only met the initial objective of providing a snapshot of the '00s but also inspired critical thinking and awareness around the impact of the internet on our lives. I am grateful for this opportunity, as it allowed me to leave a lasting mark on my academic career and, hopefully, make a positive impact on society.
